On 8th July 2017, the members of Barka’s Network meet on an annual general assembly. During that meeting Barka Foundation representative Maria Sadowska presented to the partners the results of IO2 – assessment system for the project “Eco-Restaurateur”. During the meeting, there were present: external companies in training and gastronomy, social enterprises, social integration centers from around Poland (vocational training centers), associations working in the field of social exclusion, international Barka’s branches form Ireland, the Netherlands, UK, Island.

The Artusian Festival is a very famous festival in Italy dedicated to the most famous gastronome in Italy living between the XIXth and the XXth Century, Pellegrino Artusi, author of the manual "Science in the kitchen and the art of eating well". Summary of work on creating an eco-skills training program for kitchen worker

On 26th of June a visit for external partners was organized by Barka to present the results of work on the IO3 – educational tool/syllabus of « eco skills ». The participants of this visits were: representatives of Regional Social Policy Center, representatives of Marshal's Office of the Wielkopolska Region and training company. During the meeting, the results of IO2 were presented – the tool for conducting the training in eco skills for kitchen help. There was a vivid discussion if local markets need such skills and will this training really provide the participants with skills that will help them to find job on the labor market.

On February 10th, 2016, Scuola Centrale Formazione and its associated member CSF Stimmatini, with the participation of all partners, carried out a multiplier event of the Eco-Restaurateur project, matched with a study visit to the Vocational Training Center of CSF Stimmatini and with a study visit to a canteen producing local typical high quality wine and serving food prepared according to traditional recipes. The event involved trainees, trainers and managers, institutions, no profit organisations and enterprise representatives in a conference presenting the third project output and the results of the first testing phase. 44 People attended the multiplier event, including 15 persons from the project partner organisations and 29 persons external to the partnership (all from Italy). During the August 8, 2016 Barka Foundation organized a seminar "Culinary Phenomenon on the Map of Poznan - Social Cooperatives of Legal Entities". During this event the participants talked about the first year of operation of the “Dobra” Social Cooperative, Social Cooperative “Common Table” and Social Cooperative “Kantyna” in the context of extending the employment opportunities of marginalized people in the catering industry. An interesting idea for the development of social enterprises with a culinary profile was presented by Maria Sadowska, a member of the Board of the Barka Foundation and a Polish representative in the project “Eco-Restaurateur”. [foogallery id="1007"] The first multiplier event in Italy, i.e. a study visit to an emblematic place was organized and carried out by Scuola Centrale Formazione on 30 June 2016 following the Steering Committee meeting in Bologna. The multiplier event was held in Casa Artusi, a museum complex dedicated to the food culture and Italian cuisine in Forlimpopoli in the name of Pellegrino Artusi. Casa Artusi offers different kinds of experiences: cookery lessons, educational tasting, restaurant services, conference services, gastronomic library, museum...
